MADE ON THE LAST BENCH
Last Bench Games is a tiny independent studio with one obsession: the games we invented at school when we were supposed to be doing something else. Book cricket in the back of a maths textbook. Pen fights on a desk with a dangerous edge. A football match played with a coin and two fingers for a keeper.
Those games were designed by nobody and playtested by everybody. They survived decades without an app store because they were genuinely good. We think they deserve better than being forgotten, so we rebuild them properly, one at a time.
THE RULES WE BUILD BY
- Reimagined, not photocopied. Dekk Cricket deals cards instead of flipping pages. Penn Fight has honest physics. Flikk Football fits ninety minutes into ninety seconds. Same spirit, better shoes.
- Free, instant, no sign-up. Every game runs in your browser and starts in seconds. No accounts, no installs, no locked levels.
- Skill over luck. Real physics, real opponents, real tension. Never a dice roll pretending to be gameplay.
- Nothing personal. We don't collect personal information. Progress saves on your device. We may count anonymous things, like visits and which games get played, to see how the shelf is doing.
THE SHELF SO FAR
Flikk Football, flick football under floodlights (the rules) · Dekk Cricket, book cricket dealt from a deck (the rules) · Penn Fight, the pen fight with real physics (the rules)
WHAT'S NEXT
More classroom classics are waiting for reincarnation, and the full hall of fame shows everything on the long list. We are not saying which one is next. If a game was ever played behind a raised textbook, it qualifies.
Spot a bug, remember a variant we missed, or want to say hello? The shelf is young and feedback shapes it. For now, the best way to support Last Bench is simple: play, and challenge a friend who remembers the original.
